Russ lives with his wife Jenn, their two children Nathan & Naomi and their dog Annie. His "church" history begins with a Pentecostal independent Church [Calvary Temple], later Church on the ROCK] from there the Brooklyn Church of God. He then severed in youth ministry and as a worship leader at an Elim church [Gospel Assembly - later Dayspring Assembly of God] then 20 years at a charismatic church called Severn Covenant Church. In 1998 he started a para church outreach called the Brooklyn Bridge Christian Coffeehouse and the MCM [Maryland Coffeehouse Ministryleaders] which led to his first church, Safe Harbor Ministry. He has been preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and the quick return of our King for decades. Pastor Russ Tenhoff, born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, currently serves as lead pastor for Mountainside Community Fellowship AG in West Virginia. He has been ministering in various outreaches, and a worship leader for over 40 years. Russ worked as an Imaging specialist at multiple Emergency Rooms including John Hopkins and UMMS Shock Trauma.
As a Disaster Preparedness Instructor, his training in Basic survival skills started at an early age out of necessity and his time in the Boy Scouts which led to more specialized training in Search and Rescue and onto his later teens with the Civil Air Patrol. Later he received training from F.E.M.A. and the Red Cross. Russ was a trainer for the [C.E.RT.] Baltimore City OEM Fire Department & LEPCT which expanded beyond search and rescue, First Aid and was involved with Disaster Mitigation.
All of this led to more intense training on a wide range of Disaster Preparedness, through FEMA & National Incident Management System [NIMS] He is NRA trained RSO and a Senior Firearms Safety Instructor thru the Maryland DNR.
Pastor Russ is an eschatologist which developed into the ministry REALMWARRIORS launched in 1997 that teaches from a perspective of Ephesians 6. ORDAINED by the Assemblies of God
He cut his teeth on old church pews and was saved at a young age.
Called and Baptized in the Holy Ghost in his youth, Russ began leading worship at a little Full Gospel Pentecostal church circa 1978.
Throughout the years, Russ has served in many different ministries and several church plants and para church networks and Coffehouse Networks. In the early 2000's he Hosted and Produced several Radio programs on WJRO 1590 AM.
Russ has spent his lifetime in study of the WORD and holds a BA in Theology as well as a plethora of other pennant studies nd Ministry as well as Seminary in Biblical Studies. He has studied Chemical Dependency Counseling at the prestigious CCBC-Dundalk Program.

TESTIMONEY
My 1st Supernatural Encounter

When I was almost 5 years old, we found ourselves moved into a public housing unit in Baltimore called Brooklyn Homes. My parents had split up and due to alcohol, violence, improprieties a tumultuous relationship by all accounts. So, we found ourselves alone. I don't remember much from that time except for aback alley encounter I had.
I used to play with a Red Hook and Ladder fire truck that I would go out into the backyard, in the alley to sit and play by myself. I remember playing with the truck but that's it until all of the sudden I felt someone embrace me from behind and whisper in my mind. I'm not sure if it was audible but it was clear. “You're not alone, I'll be with you". Immediately I knew there was a God.
Immediately I knew there was a heaven, and I knew that this was not my home, I belonged somewhere else, and it ignited something in my conscience that is with me to this day.
I was enlightened to the idea that the world and everything around it was much larger than I was perceiving. I came to understand later that what God was telling me is I am a father to the fatherless, I will be your father. That's when my journey with Him began.
A few years later there were two precious ladies at the end of our alley who used to invite the kids in after school on the way home for a vanilla wafer cookie, a Dixie cup of Kool-Aid and a Bible story on a felt board. After several visits with them after school they asked me my story, I told them, I told them about my encounter and for the first time they explained what had happened to me. They invited me down the Romans road. I said a sinner's prayer and got saved. I have done my best to honor the Lord and serve him ever since.

From 2003 - 2005 Russ Managed WJRO 1590 AM in Glen Burnie, MD. He Produced and Hosted several Radio Programs including Mornings on The JRO [Jesus Reaching Out] and The Brooklyn Bridge Billboards which featured local Christian Artists, The Brooklyn Bridge Radio Program, which highlighted the Coffeehouse ministry.
